Cailey - Class of 2014

I haven't done many senior portraits, this was my 3rd to be exact.  But I will say, I had a great time!  Cailey is soooo photogenic, she made my job very easy.  I'm not a great "poser" I think my strengths in photography are catching the little in between moments in life.  So I will admit that I get a little nervous when I do a photo session or an event where I know that I will be working with people who will listen and stay where I put them.  But I am learning that, whether they know it or not, the client plays a huge roll in how they are posed, or not posed.  The same poses and techniques do not work for everyone because everyone has such different personalities.  Cailey is very laid back and was up for anything which is exactly what I love in a client.  She was even game to follow me out onto a gravel bar on the Meramec River to try out a location that I have been wanting to use for long time.  (Thanks again for that!)  It paid off, I love the results we got.  Thanks Cailey for being so much fun to photograph and best of luck with college this fall, here is your session preview!

Gorgeous eyes, and FYI, I DO NOT enhance eyes, those are all hers!

Renee's Family

It doesn't happen often in life, but occasionally you meet people who become like family.  That is what our friends Steve and Renee are.  They became good friends and camping buddies and along the way Godparents to our kids.  Well, Renee's family from Texas is visiting this week and when she asked me to get a few photos of them together, I of course said of course.  So this morning we met at Shaw Nature Reserve, (maybe my favorite place to photograph), and made some memories with her family.  Here are a few of the images from today.
