Evening photo session with my kids

It had been awhile since I got my kids out specifically for a photo session.  I get lots of Leah since she is home with me most days, but I haven't taken many photos of Blake since he turned 8, and that was almost 6 months ago.  I wasn't in a great mood heading out for theses photos, I wasn't feeling the light, I thought that I had missed out.  But, the kids were already dressed and we proceeded with the photos anyway.  So glad we did.  My kids are serious, intense, goofballs, and their multiple personalities come through in these images.

Color Film

Oh. My. Word.  I could not be happier and frankly a little surprised at how well this roll of color film turned out.  I love the creamy skin tones, the graininess, just the overall look and feel of the images.  What an awesome film, I truly hope the art is never lost.  The film was Kodak Portra and the processing and scanning was done by Indie Film Lab.  Enjoy.

I love all my families and love photography, so once again I had such a hard time deciding which images to share from yesterday's session.  So, I shared A LOT.  I love it when scenery, lighting and people all come together and give me great material, I love them all.
