Beattie Family

What a great weekend for photography!  We had what appears to be the last of warm weather for awhile.  The cold front has come and there is no end in sight for freezing temps., so I'm so glad we were able to get in some sessions.  However, I have no problem doing photos in the cold and snow.  In fact, I would love to do a snowy session this winter if anyone is interested in that.  Everyone bundled up in hats, scarves and gloves, snowball fights and snow angels.  O.K. enough about snow, onto the Beattie's session.  I have done their family photos many times in the past, since Kaitlyn was a baby in fact and now she is a grown up 1st grader with an interest in photography!  And, their son Jack was born just down the hall and a day after my daughter Leah.  So, we go way back and I am so glad we got together for photos again.  The kids did a great job and were lots of fun.  Check out some images from their session.

Two Times the Fun

I met these adorable twins a couple of years ago when they were one.  They moved away for a couple of years, but now their family is back in St. Louis.  I'm so glad they are, because I got to photograph them again!  To their mom, or any bystander, it may have seemed like a tough photo session, after all, it isn't the easiest thing to get 3 year old twins together for photos.  However, I had a blast and ended up with some fabulous images that I love.  Those who know me know that posing is not my forte, I love to photograph things as they happen rather than force an image.  And as anyone with young children knows, very few children want to sit on a mark and smile.  I would rather everyone have a little fun and I'm just there to take it all in and preserve it.  Here is a sampling from our session, these images are candid and real and I hope the family loves them as much as I do.
